(US Open) Brooke Koepka had three straight birdies on the back nine at Erin Hills yesterday and closed with a 5-under 67 to win the U.S. Open for his first major championship. The 27-year-old Koepka wound up winning by four shots over Brian Harman, and Hideki Matsuyama, who closed with a 66.
(LPGA Classic) Canadian Brooke Henderson won the LPGA Classic on Sunday for her fourth LPGA Tour title. The 19 year old Henderson finished at 17-under 263 and earned $300,000.
(MLB) The Toronto Blue Jays avoided the sweep yesterday by beating the Chicago White Sox 7-3. Russell Martin and Kendrys Morales both homered for Toronto. Jay Happ struck out nine in 6 and two third innings for the win.
