In a thriller at the ACC last night the Toronto Maple Leafs came back to beat the Winnipeg Jets 5-4 in overtime. Elsewhere the Montreal Canadiens needed the shootout to beat the Rangers 3-2, Ottawa edged New Jersey 2-1, Calgary used overtime for a 6-5 win over Nashville and Tampa Bay skated to a 4-1 win over Edmonton.
At the Scotties Tournament of Hearts Manitoba suffered their first loss falling 8-7 to defending champion Chelsea Carey of Calgary. Ontario’s Rachel Homan downed Saskatchewan’s Penny Barker 7-4 to be alone atop the field at 7-0.
