Yesterday in NFL action the Miami Dolphins came back for a 28-25 win over the Buffalo Bills, Philadelphia beat Minnesota 21-10, San Diego needed overtime for 33-30 victory over Atlanta and in the late game Seattle and Arizona battled to a 6-6 tie.
The 2016 Heritage Classic in Winnipeg saw the Edmonton Oilers skate to 3-0 win over the Winnipeg Jets, elsewhere Anaheim doubled Vancouver 4-2, The Rangers edged Arizona 3-2 and the Islanders beat Minnesota 6-3.
The Eskis enjoyed a mixed weekend. They lost Friday’s away game to Kirkland Lake 6-4, but came back to beat the Blind River Beavers on Saturday 7-3. Sadly, the Cochrane Crunch didn’t fare as well in their Friday game against the Beavers, absorbing their first shutout of the season, final score 2-0. The loss was Cochrane’s first in regulation time this season as the NOJHL overall leaders fell to 11-1-1-1 while Blind River improved to 7-7-0-0 on the campaign.
