Cochrane played host to the Miss Teen Ontario-North Pageant Friday and Saturday, hosted at Transfiguration Hall. The pageant is divided into two categories — junior and teen. The junior group encompasses girls age 10 through 13 from across the north. The senior group covers girls age 14 through 19. Winner for the junior category this year was Haili Prokopetz from Porquis. Senior winner was Erika Smith from Chapleau. Ten year old Miss Cochrane, Ceri Genier, says even though she did not place this year, she had a pile of fun and can’t wait to try again next year.
