(Tennis)  Canadian teenager Denis Shapovalov stunned Rafael Nadal last night at the Rogers Open, beating the world number two, 3-6, 6-4,7-6. With the win Shapovalov becomes the youngest player to reach the Round of 16 of a Master Series tournament since Nadal did it in 2004. Shapovalov will play France’s Adrian Mannarino at 6:30 tonight in the quarter finals.

(MLB)  Marco Estrada tossed seven scoreless innings leading the Toronto Blue Jays to a 4-0 shutout of the New York Yankees last night.  Jose Bautista hit his 19th homer of the season as the Jays took the series 2 games to 1

(CFL)  The Edmonton Eskimos remain undefeated after beating the Ottawa Redblacks 27-20 last night. Eskimos QB Mike Reilly was 27-for-38, passing for 384 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions .

(Golf)  Kevin Kisner and Thorbjorn Olesen (thor-born) both shot  a 4-under 67 for a one-shot lead after the first round at the  PGA Championship . Graham DeLaet was the top Canadian tied at 15th with a 1 under par
