(MLB) Josh Donaldson hit a pair of two-run home runs to lead the Toronto Blue Jays to a 4-2 win over the New York Yankees last night. J.A. Happ allowed an earned run on four hits while striking out five and walking four for the win and Roberta Osuna picked up his 29th save.
(Tennis) Eugenie Bouchard was eliminated from the Rogers Cup after a straight-sets loss to 21-year-old qualifier Donna Vekic of Croatia yesterday and Mississauga teenager Bianca Andreescu also was eliminated losing to 55th-ranked Timea Babos of Hungary in her Rogers Cup main-draw debut. On the Men’s side Canadian Denis Shapovalov advanced to the second round after rallying to defeat Rogerio Dutra Silva of Brazil. Milos Raonic will play his first match later today.
